The only information shared beyond the client and the client’s family is a review written by the client, which may be posted in electronic and print materials. Reviews are voluntarily given and will only include first name and last initial.
5. Student Consent & Parent/Guardian Access
We recognize that college applications often include sensitive and personal information. This is information that the student may not want to share with anyone, including a parent or legal guardian.
A. Student Privacy Rights
Students have the right to control who can access their application materials and feedback.
We will not share essays, application materials, or detailed feedback with parents/guardians without the student’s explicit consent, for any reason.
B. Parent/Guardian Communication
We are happy to communicate with parents/guardians regarding general strategy, timelines, and process.
However, content-specific materials (essays, personal disclosures, etc.) will only be shared if the student authorizes it in writing (e.g., via intake form or email confirmation).
C. Unauthorized Submissions
If a parent/guardian submits student materials without the student’s knowledge or consent, we reserve the right to pause services until consent is confirmed. No refunds will be provided if consent is not obtained.

We take reasonable and appropriate measures to protect your information:
Documents are stored in secure, password-protected cloud systems
Backup files may be stored on an encrypted external hard drive
Access is limited solely to AskDrHoffman.com LLC, a single member LLC.
No third-party team members or collaborators have access to client files

All recordings may be shared with the student involved in the recording for feedback purposes.
